Pediatric Speech Therapy

Apex Integrated Therapy Services provides speech therapy services for children and adolescents who may be experiencing challenges with communication, language, or social interaction. Our goal is to support communication skills that help children succeed at home, in school, and in everyday interactions.

How We Help

We take a child-centered, functional approach to speech therapy that prioritizes real-world communication. Services are designed to be supportive, engaging, and responsive to each child’s developmental level and learning style.  Speech therapy services are individualized and may focus on:

Language development (understanding and using words, sentences, and concepts)

Articulation and speech sound production (child may say "tat" instead of "cat")

Pragmatic and social communication skills (taking turns in conversation, understanding social cues, staying on topic, and interacting appropriately with peers and adults)

Therapy goals are tailored to each child’s needs and may be coordinated with other supports when appropriate.

Early Language Development

Language Delays & Language Disorders

Language Delays & Language Disorders

Early language therapy focuses on helping young children develop foundational communication skills through play and everyday routines. Sessions support understanding and using early words, gestures, and simple sentences while strengthening joint attention, turn-taking, and shared play. Caregiver education is emphasized so strategies can be carried over naturally during daily activities such as meals, playtime, and routines.

Language Delays & Language Disorders

Therapy for language delays and disorders targets functional communication skills needed for daily life. Sessions focus on improving understanding of spoken language, following directions, and using words and sentences to express needs, thoughts, and emotions. Therapy goals are designed to support communication across home, school, and social environments.

Articulation & Speech Sound Therapy

Language Delays & Language Disorders

Articulation & Speech Sound Therapy

Articulation therapy supports children who have difficulty producing certain speech sounds or who are hard to understand. Therapy focuses on improving speech clarity and intelligibility so children can communicate more confidently with peers and adults. Practice is embedded within meaningful words, phrases, and conversation rather than isolated drills alone.

Gestalt Language

Social Communication (Pragmatic Language) Therapy

Articulation & Speech Sound Therapy

Gestalt language therapy supports children who process language in larger chunks and may use echolalia or scripts to communicate. Therapy follows a neurodiversity-affirming approach that respects the child’s natural communication style while supporting growth toward more flexible, functional language over time.

Autism-Related Communication Support

Social Communication (Pragmatic Language) Therapy

Social Communication (Pragmatic Language) Therapy

Speech therapy for autistic children focuses on functional communication, social interaction, and self-advocacy in ways that honor individual strengths and needs. Therapy is strengths-based and responsive, supporting meaningful communication rather than enforcing rigid or unnatural speech patterns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@apexintegratedtherapy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

If your child has difficulty being understood, understanding others, using language, or interacting socially, a speech-language evaluation may help determine whether therapy is appropriate.

Not always. Many children benefit from speech therapy based on observed communication needs rather than a specific diagnosis.

A speech evaluation may include play-based tasks, standardized assessments, observation, and caregiver input to better understand your child’s communication strengths and needs.

The length of therapy varies based on each child’s needs and goals. Progress is reviewed regularly, and therapy plans are adjusted as needed.

At this time, our services are offered on a private pay basis. We are actively working on credentialing with several insurance providers and will update our website as networks become available.

Possibly. Some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits. Upon request, we can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan.

Yes. Telehealth speech therapy is available and can be effective for many communication goals.

Teletherapy can be highly effective for many individuals and goals. We determine appropriateness on a case-by-case basis to ensure services are the right fit.

A reliable internet connection, a device with video capability, and a quiet space are typically all that’s needed.
